Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has launched an institute to train MPs, local council leaders and other legislatures in the East African region titled after her name The “Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga” Institute will conduct induction training for legislators and other local government leaders to prepare them for office.

This innovation comes as a result of the 2021 elections where many legislators were elected with low qualifications, lack debate skills and advocacy skills.

Such a training is timely.
