Uganda sets up it’s first mega COVID-19 Response Treatment centre at the biggest stadium
As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Ugandan Government with support from it’s Development partners have set up a 1500 beds capacity pandemic treatment center.
The center is located at the Namboole stadium and has been named the Namboole treatment center.
So far 210 beds have been set up but the capacity is being enhanced upto 1,500 beds. With support from partners, the stadium will serve as a treatment center for asymptomatic and mild COVID-19 cases.
The COVID-19 cases continue to rise and worry Ugandans, nearly double. To respond to this, the Health Ministry has trained an Emergency Medical staff team to hat are supporting the COVID-29 response and has as well earmarked several testing centers within the cities and the regional referral hospitals.
